The Fowl Supper Was A Hoot!

I sang at the fowl supper event on Nov.5 with the Lonnie Deslyle Choral Ensemble. The event was a fund raiser for the Filmore Family Foundation; The Fillmore Family Foundation is a registered non-profit society providing funding to non-profit agencies that deliver programs and services in the areas of nutrition, housing, health, and education. The Foundation relies on the generosity of event participants, volunteers and sponsors to create grass-roots events to generate the funds necessary to support the foundation’s beneficiaries. Since 2000, more than $400,000 has been raised by the foundation. The event was a huge success, picture if you will over 600 gay men and their people dressed in cowboy and sailor outfits with a stage decor a la Liza Minelli with bling everywhere. The acts of the evening ranged from a little Justin Bieber look and sound alike to a man dressed as a beaver singing and playing the saw and all of it hosted by a Drag Queen names Linda Filmore who also produced the whole event. As you can imagine the evening was a riot. It was such an honor to be a part of this great night and raise money for such a great foundation.
