The Nite of Hope™ is an elegant dinner, fashion show and silent auction evening held each Spring in Richmond, British Columbia for over 450 attendees. Each year a keynote speaker provides a moving and hopeful message regarding breast cancer. 2012 will mark the fourteenth annual gala Nite of Hope. This will be the first year that the event has an entertainer and Giovanni is honored to lend his voice to the evening when he performs songs from his album as well as some new gems that may surprise you.
The event raises monies for resources and benefits the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Chapter while also raising awareness to the devastating effects of breast cancer and provides support and encouragement to survivors.
Judi Miller began fundraising efforts seventeen years ago in her home with all proceeds going to breast cancer research. Eleven years ago, she decided to take the event into an evening format at a local Hotel, complete with entertainment, fashion show, silent auction items and a raffle. Judi has lost both her mother and young sister-in-law to the disease and decided to fight back.
The event has raised in excess of $1.8 million for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, B.C. Yukon Chapter. Nite of Hope™ 2012 is on Wednesday April 4th at the RiverRock Casino Resort in Richmond.
