It’s hard to think of another event that brings together so many different artists on-stage in a single night. We’re talking about a roster so diverse it encompasses popera star and former Destino member Giovanni Amenta, soulful singer-songwriter Coco Love Alcorn, bhangra singer Gurteshwar Grewal (along with a team of Bollywood dancers), and musical-theatre actors Jennifer Suratos and Jacqueline Breakwell singing a hit from Presentation House’s recent production of Rent. Local actor, comedian, and improv artist Ellie Harvie plays the lively host. Starry Night’s lineup is a testament to the event’s cause: held at the Arts Club’s Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage, the extravaganza on Monday night (November 23) raises money for people living with HIV/AIDS.
